Just pray you don't have to deal with PlayNC support.

I recently had a problem with this in Aion. Basically, it' boiled down to the GSU head (or at least he said he was the "team lead") saying "we know you botted, and there's nothing you can do about it".

I'm sure there is, but I really didn't care that much for Aion to push. I'll wait 3 months until all those terds are fired, then call directly.

It's really a case of "guilty until proven innocent", and even then...your still guilty.

If they tried this crap with my Guild Wars accounts, I'd be driving down to Texas. From Canada! lol

Hmm, 2 accts logged on at the same time almost every day lately (son and i)
Recently made large transfers of gold(100K) repeatedly and items between the accts and not had a problem.

May be worth fighting....

When people post about "falsely" banned accounts, they're usually not telling the community everything they've been doing or they're just outright lying. Seems like it's always a "friend of mine" that was banned as well. But really, you don't know everything that goes on with your friend's or his brother's account, so you really don't have anyway of knowing whether he was banned for good reason or not.

Don't believe everything you read and always talk to NCSoft support. Or your friend should, rather.

Probably because its between two accounts, they probably assume its someone with two accounts transferring items between the two. The person with the banned account made a very large trade to someone they didn't trade with as frequently as you and your son probably do.

Well i know for a fact he doesn't have a credit card and I don't know any other way that they would assume he was buying gold. It was a quite large amount ( i think he said 60e ) So i can sort of understand why they would ban him. Its just ridiculous if they take stuff off.

I agree.

If it's going to be aired in public, the poster should contact PlayNC Support, document the responses, and include them in a complete disclosure in that same post. I have a doosey for the Aion forums, but I'm still not ready to fight that hard for....Aion.

Guild Wars? I'd fight tooth and nail for.

He knows real money trading lead to ban right ?
You obviously don't know what happened. If you friend wants his account back, tell him to contact NCSoft. There is nothing more you can do for him.

He needs to get feedback from NCSoft first, since some account got banned due to their deficient payment terminal, too.

And no, NCSoft doesnt steal your items, but pirates do. With guns.

The only reason he could have got banned was because his brother was repaying a debt. Are there any rules that say you cant have 2 people living in the same house playing guild wars at the same time or something? I kind of understand why he got banned but we are just hoping that they don't strip his account of all of his gold that he worked hard for. The amount he traded was quite large but they farm FoW/UW quite often so it wasn't a very hard debt to pay off. So i was really just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if so, do you think they will strip him of all his valuables?
Something about this makes me wonder what his 'brother' was doing. What kind of debt? HOW was he paying it off? How large are we talking, and to how many people?

These seem like statements that sound like his brother wan't buying gold, but selling it, more bannable than buying in my opinion. And as far as stripping the account, the only thing they would do, if they do it, would be to send the money bought/sold to the garbage and any items bought/sold. Items and armor his characters use would be safe, and most transfered items are extremely hard to track for removal.

You've missed the point here, he was trading between accounts because he owed his mate some IN GAME cash. This in reality has nothing to do with selling gold for real world money, it's just the mistake NCSoft made. And above it says that it was about 60 ecto.

Bingo.

One guy once posted on guru about how he was unfairly banned. Regina ended up posting saying that the guy had had his account suspended 10 different times for breaking the EULA.

This is like saying "but officer I wasn't speeding" and expecting the cop to go "Oh okay sorry for the mistake then sir" and let you go.

I don't know if this will trigger a ban, but transfering large sums of gold across multiple accounts or trading pre gold for post gold will sometimes get you flagged. I believe they have a human reviewer in that case, though that still doesn't make the system perfect.

There is a strong line between Ban and Suspension.

Btw, how come when I try to post even three letters in all capitals (lol) I get sensored down to lowercase but you don't.

Also @ your post: lol. <- that was in all capitals.

Contact support and inform them of your second account. If possible, provide proof of ownership. (Log in e-mail, NCSoft E-mail if applicable, CD Keys, any proof of ownership) and do the same with your banned main account.

Just food for thought...

Directly from the legal agreement of guild wars. Here's the legal agreement.

So, I would question what my brother was doing.

Now, like I said, e-mail them and be polite. Cussing and accusing them will not get you anywhere. Provide proof of ownership and describe, in DETAIL, what you were doing. You may want to describe how you earned the ecto on the other account.

Try to remember the smallest of details. A-net is human and they DO make mistakes. I was permanently banned for joking with my boyfriend that I was going to put porn on his computer. A-net banned me for "threatening" to hack. Stupid, yes, but it got fixed.

Use GW Support to choose the best method to contact them.

Best wishes.

If you got banned for that 60 ecto transfer, the person you gave it to likely got banned as well. I doubt it was for that transfer though. You were on the giving end of that trade, which would cause them to assume you were a gold seller. If that were the case, they would perma-ban the account and likely block the IP.

Based on their explanation and the ban length, they think you were buying gold, not sending ectos. If the person you owed the debt to gave you gold or items for nothing in return, that may have been what was flagged.

He didn't state it very clearly, but he was transferring it from one of his accounts to the other. Both accounts were his.

And no, it is clearly not against the EULA to own more than one account, you just can't share one account with another person (which can't be legitimately enforced in cases where parent/child will play on the same account).

As the previous poster said, send proof that both accounts are yours to Anet and ask them to look into it. As a last resort, refer it to Gaile. It is just a 60 hr ban, but you need to get this cleared up now, because if something else happens down the road, you will be perma banned because of the mark from this incident.

Well, with grammar like that, I think that Anet did us all a favor.
